Forget-Me-Not

We know Thanksgiving is very near and this is the time that many people get together with family and friends and think about what they are thankful for. I have a tendency of forgetting little things because I become overwhelmed with other things. I often forget things like saying, “Thank you.” When someone else does something for me, my mind gets occupied with different things, I forget to say, “Thank you” and when I remember about it, I get dissapointed at myself for forgetting to say “Thank you.” When someone sends us something, and then time runs on, I forget to send an email to say, “Thanks!” When I remember, it is a little “too long” but nevertheless, I still send an email to say, “Thanks!” We have a tendency to forget. It’s a human trait.  Also when we pray, it is often that we think about me, myself, and I on my needs and we forget to say “Thank you” to God for the things He has done for us. It’s like the famous prayer of one man: “God, Bless me and my wife, my son and his wife. Us four and nothing more. Amen.” That’s it. The prayer is quite self-centered. We need to remember to thank God that we have this and that and also thank God for other people as well....(continue: click website)
